Abstract: 

GEOSYNTHETIC PRODUCTS SUCH AS GEOTEXTILES AND GEOMEMBERANES ARE USED IN CONTAINERS AND TUBES FOR DAM AND DIKE FLOOD EMERGENCY PROTECTION AND ALSO AS CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS FOR COASTAL EROSION CONTROL, GROYNES, SCOUR FILL, REEFS, BREAKWATERS AND DUNE REVETMENTS. ON THE OTHER HAND DUE TO THE INCREASING STORMINESS ASSOCIATED WITH CLIMATE CHANGES AND TSUNAMI’S WAVES PHENOMENA SOME OF THE EXISTING DUNES MUST BE PROTECTED OR REINFORCED. TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES UTILIZING ROCK, CONCRETE AND STEEL ARE BEING INCREASINGLY CHALLENGED BY ALTERNATIVES OFFERED IN GEOSYNTHETIC FORMS FOR REVETMENTS, SCOUR PROTECTION, GROYNES, BERMS, AND DUNAL STABILIZATION. NOWADAYS GEOTEXTILE SAND CONTAINERS FIND THEIR APPLICATION AS CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS FOR EROSION CONTROL, SCOUR FILL AND DUNE REVETMENTS. WRAPPING OR ENCAPSULATING SAND INTO GEOTEXTILE UNITS PROVIDES A VARIETY OF FLEXIBLE, ECONOMICAL AND ECOLOGICAL COASTAL APPLICATIONS. THE USE OF SUCH CONTAINERS FOR THIS TYPE PROJECT ALSO APPEARS TO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO REDUCE SETTLEMENTS IN POOR SUB-GRADE CONDITIONS, HOWEVER IT IS RECOGNIZED THAT THIS IS A RELATIVELY NEW SYSTEM AND THE KNOWLEDGE BASE REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT A DESIGN WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF CONFIDENCE IS LIMITED. THIS PAPER SHOWS SOME EXPERIMENTS OF TECHNOLOGIES WHERE THE ENCAPSULATION OF SEDIMENTS IN GEOTEXTILE SAND CONTAINERS DOMINATES BUT OTHER FUNCTIONS, E.G. REINFORCEMENT AND FILTRATION CANNOT BE NEGLECTED. ADDITIONALLY RESULTS FROM GERMAN LARGE SCALE MODEL TESTS ARE PRESENTED AND SOME RECOMMENDATIONS DEALING WITH GEOTEXTILE CONTAINERS ARE DESCRIBED.

Abstract: 

We report measurements of the temperature at different times during the arcing period of an experimental model of a SAND-FILLED, high-voltage, high breaking capacity fuse. The cylindrical fuse-holder, containing a single-strand of uniform silver fuse-element, is tested at 6 kV, 50 Hz, and 1.25 kA prospective current is passed through it to generate the fuse arc. An optical fiber is used to carry light from the fuse arc to a spectrograph which is used to isolate spectral lines of interest. The spectrum is recorded by an intensified photodiode array. By gating the image intensifier in front of the diode array a complete spectrum is recorded in several microseconds. By varying the timing of the gate pulse the arc spectrum can be obtained at any desired time during the arcing period. The arc temperature is determined from the relative intensities of Si II spectral lines. The arc temperature was found to be around 20,000 °K.

Abstract: 

In this article the issue of integrated storage space assignment together with berth allocation for import CONTAINERS in a container terminal is extended. This problem is adopted from a real world situation in which the type of container affects the decision making process for the storage space assignment problem. A two-level approach is proposed to solve this problem. The storage space allocation problem and the berth assignment problem are formulated as mathematical programming models in two consecutive levels. In the first level, the import CONTAINERS are assigned to the storage blocks in order to minimize the storage/retrieval times of the CONTAINERS. The vessels are then allocated to the berth locations in the second level according to the results obtained from the first level in order to minimize the total distance traveled by container handling equipments between the storage blocks and the vessel berth locations in the yard. The performance of the extended model is examined and verified by a number of numerical examples.

Abstract: 

CONTAINERS for packaging and storage of food represent one of the most popular uses of plastics and polymer additives. Due to low weight, high mechanical resistance, maintenance and easy transportation, the application of plastic bottles have increased. This paper investigates the effects of plastic bottles aspects of medical, environmental and energy consumption are discussed and compared with glass bottles. According to reported surveys, this is predicted that the growth of consumption plastics bottles will be 92000 ton in Iran in this year. Plastic bottles are not suitable for food storage because of their biodegradable property, recycling problem and their low quality after recycling. Releasing the hazardous substances in the air, especially during the manufacturing process, the emission of toxic compounds such as Antimony, Zinc, Bromide derivatives, and Phenol in water and food, are destructive effects on environment and human. Also, the usage of these CONTAINERS is not cost effective because of their problems in recycling and the high cost to landfill the plastic bottle wastes. Versus, Glass bottles are made of minerals that can be recycled easily (15 -20 time) and have low cost recycling, so recycled glass bottles have a quality like the original bottles and less energy to primary energy production are needed. Therefore, glass bottles may be safe to store food.

Abstract: 

According to previous researches eating in disposable plastic CONTAINERS can create risks and wastes for the human body. Leaving these CONTAINERS in nature will cause environmental problems due to the long period of its return to nature's cycle. In this research, we intend to find people's attitude towards consuming such dishes and adress the question that through which processes has the norms of eating and drinking changed? We conducted an in-depth interview with a hundred middle-class of citizens of Tehran. The findings showed that despite the awareness of citizens about these issues, these CONTAINERS are used in parties due to ease of consuming and carrying, cheapness, easy access, diversity in shape and color, the perception that they are more hygienic than other CONTAINERS. The prevalence of these dishes has influenced the style of eating. From a Giddensian approach the whole phenomena of "disposability" can be considered as an abstract system by which behaviours relating to eating will be disembedded from its local space-time and will be re-embedded in another level. Trust in this abstract system is to the extent that the harms of consuming the disposals and the damage they cause to the body and nature are not considered.

Abstract: 

SAND filters are composed of SAND-FILLED CONTAINERS with determined granulation and specified thicknesses of pressurized SAND layers that work under pressure and they are placed in the center control system after the cyclone and before the grid or disk filter. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between water turbidity and Total suspended solids (TSS). To determine the samples turbidity, they were tested using a spectrophotometer and the percentage of light passing was obtained through each sample separately. The test of determining total suspended solids was also performed. The results of this experiment showed that there is a quadratic equation between the percentage of light passing and total suspended solids, which is presented as the main equation from figure 3, that is more correlated with the data. As can be seen, at 450 nm, there is a higher correlation between the turbidity and the light transmittance and less error.

Abstract: 

مقدمه: اندکس DMFT (دندانهای پوسیده، کشیده شده و پر شده) و درصد کودکان عاری از پوسیدگی  (Caries free) دو شاخص مهم در ارزیابی سلامت کودکان هر جامعه است. این مطالعه به منظور بررسی میزان DMFT دانش آموزان 12 ساله شهر سنندج و ارتباط آن با عوامل اقتصادی، اجتماعی و برخی از ویژگیهای اختصاصی والدین و دانش آموزان در سال تحصیلی 79-78 صورت گرفته است. مواد و روش ها: این پژوهش یک مطالعه توصیفی تحلیلی (Cross-Sectional) است که در آن تعداد 439 دانش آموز (224 نفر پسر و 215 نفر دختر) در گروه سنی 12 ســال بـا روش نمـونه گیری طبقه ای تصادفی از مدارس راهنمایی شهر سنندج انتخاب و مورد پژوهش قرار گرفتند. روش جمع آوری داده ها با استفاده از مصاحبه و معاینه دندان دانش آموزان بوده است، داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار آماری Spss-win و تست t وx2  مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت.نتایج: نتـایـج بدسـت آمـده نشـان می دهـد کـه میانگیـن DMFT در کــل دانـش آمـوزان برابر 2.6 می باشــد و اختلاف معنی دار آماری بین میانگین DMFT در دختران (2.52) و پسران (2.67) وجود ندارد(P=0.932). 15.7 درصد از کل دانش آموزان عاری از پوسیدگی در دندان های دائمی بوده و 62.9درصد آنها مسواک نمی زنند و جنس در تعداد دفعات مسواک زدن تأثیر داشته بطوری که دختران بیشتر از پسران اقدام به مسواک زدن نموده اند (P=0.000). نتایج همچنان نشان می دهد که میزان پوسیدگی با جنس، تعداد افراد خانواده، میزان تحصیلات والدین و شغل والدین رابطه ای ندارد. ولی بین میزان پوسیدگی و رتبه تولـد و همچنین در آمد خانـواده رابطه معنی دار است ( بترتیب P=0.04و P=0.026)نتیحه گیری: نتایج این مطالعه نشان می دهد که با استفاده از روش غربالگری (Screening) می توان اطلاعات حائز اهمیتی در ارتباط با آموزش مستقیم بهداشت و کنترل سایر مشکلات بهداشتی در برنامه های آموزش مدارس بدست آورد.

Abstract: 

Not long after the discovery of the Halilud (Jiroft) civilization, much research has been done on this civilization and the study of the structure of motifs on recent works. Given the lack of written information and sufficient historical evidence from this civilization and its place in the history of ancient Iranian art, articles on the subject can be a good source of inspiration and inspiration., Our knowledge, technical know-how, and so on. The motifs used on the works are an important part of ancient Iranian art. The motifs of pottery, and many of which are decorated with very beautiful themes, have always been at odds with the worldview, symbolic concepts, and cultural connections of societies in times past. The purpose of this research is to study the visual structure of decorative motifs (technical knowledge of aesthetics) on the found works of Jiroft civilization and to question their aesthetic quality. As well as studying the visual structure of the motifs used on the works, we can reveal the visual sensibilities of the creators of these works on the beautiful, the principled and precise application of aesthetic elements (technical knowledge) such as rhythm, symmetry, balance, proportion, concentration, balance and so on. The stone artifacts of Jiroft civilization are widespread and it is important to note that the people of this civilization, in addition to the functional aspects of everyday life, use various motifs (geometric, human, plant, animal, thematic and symbolic) on these works. They have tried to satisfy their aesthetic needs. The method of data collection in this article is library studies and field research through objective observation and research method is descriptive and analytical. It seems that the origin of the visual elements, abstract ideas, and realistic images is derived from the surrounding nature and mythological rituals of the field, along with the sensitive and aesthetic mind of the artists emanating from their culture. Engraving on these CONTAINERS has been a means of conveying the message in pre-historic times and has been used by artists as the most appropriate canvas for displaying the message and human knowledge. The questions of this study are: 1. What are the elements and qualities of the technical (visual knowledge) used in the design and composition of the decoration of the CONTAINERS and what are the visual communication techniques associated with the Harylrud stone CONTAINERS? What is the semantic relationship between the form and content of the motifs in these works? Objectives: 1) To study the visual and visual structure of the motifs in the works of this civilization 2) To analyze the relationship between form and content used in the works of this civilization

Abstract: 

تولید ماسه همواره مشکلاتی نظیر فرسایش و خوردگی تسهیلات و تجهیزات سرچاهی و درون چاهی، مسدود کردن تجهیزات سطحی و درون چاهی مثل ستون چاه و خطوط لوله، افزایش هزینه های تعمیر، راه اندازی و نیروی انسانی، کاهش تراوایی سازند و کاهش راندمان بازیافت مخزن را ایجاد می نماید که این امر متخصصین شرکت های نفتی و سرویس دهنده را بر آن داشته است که برای مدیریت و کنترل ماسه بدنبال راهکارهای مناسب اقتصادی باشند. از جمله روش های مدیریت و کنترل ماسه میتوان به کاهش نیروی حرکتی، کنترل مکانیکی و شیمیایی ماسه اشاره نمود که در این مقاله ضمن ارائه روش های مدیریت و کنترل ماسه به بررسی عملکرد سیستم های مهار ماسه مکانیکی ESS و GP که در یک دوره زمانی چهار ساله در میادین مورد مطالعه A و B، استفاده شده پرداخته می شود و سپس عملکرد آنها مورد مقایسه قرار می گیرد. ماسه سنگ ها بخش مهمی از مخزن آسماری در ناحیه جنوب غرب و غرب ایران را تشکیل می دهد و عمده تولید نفت را به عهده دارند. واحدهای ماسه سنگ مخزن آسماری از سیمان بندی ضعیفی برخوردار می باشند، لذا دانه های تشکیل دهنده آنها در اثر عوامل متعدد از سازند جدا و مشکلات فراوانی را در امر تولید نفت از این نوع میادین را ایجاد مینماید.

Abstract: 

The problem of darcian natural convection in inclined square cavity partially FILLED between the central square hole FILLED with fluid and inside a square porous cavity FILLED with nanofluid is numerically studied using the finite element method. The left vertical wall is maintained at a constant hot temperature Th and the right vertical wall is maintained at a constant cold temperature Tc, while the horizontal walls are adiabatic. The governing equations are obtained by applying the Darcy model and Boussinesq approximation. COMSOL’s finite element method is used to solve the non-dimensional governing equations together with the specified boundary conditions. The governing parameters of this study are the Rayleigh number.
